Summary:

NeuCyte’s SynFire iPSC-derived human neuron/glia demonstrate dose-dependent alterations in firing rate, bursting and synchrony metrics when tested by GABAA receptor antagonists and pyrethroid insecticides. Anti-epileptic drugs picrotoxin and bicuculine are applied to reduce the seizure-like phenotypes observed. These results demonstrate the utility of SynFire neurons and multielectrode arrays for functional neurotoxicity screening.
