The results from the CiPA Phase II multi-site, blinded validation study are now in. The CiPA team conclusively demonstrated the utility of human stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes to detect drug-induced arrhythmia effects. Congratulations Dr Daniel Millard and the CiPA Myocyte team on the publication of the CiPA Myocyte Pilot Study. A first of its kind, the CiPA Myocyte assay, proposes using beating human stem cell-derived heart cells, known as cardiomyocytes, to identify drugs that promote the irregular beating of the heart.
